It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Preston Daniel Richard Dewar (Montague, Prince Edward Island), who passed away on May 26, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, H. W. Beecher and Hazel Ruth Dewar; his son Arnold Alexander Dewar; and his siblings, Abner Dewar, Dr. Vera Dewar, Keith and Harvey Dewar.

He is survived by : his wife Georgina Dewar; his son Blair Dewar; his brother Dr. Charles Dewar; his siblings-in-law, Eddie Dingwell, Dennis Dingwell (Cindy), Flora Dewar and Betty Gallant; and his close friend Bill Nelson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
