He was predeceased by : his parents, William Knox and Eliza Knox; and his siblings, Isabelle Hayes (John), Thompson Knox (Lorna), Lily MacLean (John), Robert John Knox and James Knox (Ethel).

He is survived by : his wife Janet; and his children, Stephen Knox (Beth), Carolyn Knox, Cheryl Roche (Hal) and Darlane Knox (Jocelyn Pemberton). He is also survived by grandchildren; 3 adored great grandchildren.
