He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred McQuillan and Mary McQuillan (Martell); his sisters, Joan Currie (Clair "Bud") and Elizabeth "Babe" Gotell (Kimble); and his brothers-in-law, Joseph "Sonny" Johnson, Bob Corrigan and Kevin Walsh.

He is survived by: his wife Lauretta McQuillan (Walsh); his children, Bill McQuillan (Shelley) and Patricia McQuillan (Paul); his grandchildren, Keegan MacDonald (Kamiko), Liam MacDonald (Katie) and Kaitlyn McQuillan; his sister Barbara Johnson; and his sisters-in-law, Janet Corrigan and Marie Walsh.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home (40 Wood Islands Rd, Montague, PE C0A1R0). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (90 Gordon St, Georgetown, PE C0A1L0). A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at the St. James Parish Cemetery (90 Gordon St, Georgetown, PE C0A1L0).
