He was predeceased by : his parent Alva Allen; his siblings, Leeming Allen and Vaughn McKeeman; his grandson Brent Allen; and his son-in-law Alan Irving.

He is survived by : his parent Maude Allen (Peardon); his wife Carole Allen (Horton); his children, Cheryl Wolthuis (Harm), Lana Bell (James), Charles Allen, Alva Allen (Shirley) and Ralph Allen (Robin); his grandchildren, Dianne Bailey (Troy), Melissa Leeco (Kenny), James Irving (Rachel), Jaime Bell, Amanda Miller (Jeremy) and Craig Bell (Kristen); and his sister Veda Wilson.
