She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry Sutton and Kathleen Sutton (Gooderham); her son Philip; and her brother-in-law Barrie Strickland. She is survived by : her husband Eugene Strickland; her daughter Ruth Moore (Rick); her grandsons, Benjamin, Matthew (Jasmin) and Adam; her great grandchildren, Preston and Matthew; her sister Helen Younder; and her sister-in-law Elva. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home (40 Wood Islands Rd, Montague, PE C0A1R0). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at the Murray River Cemetery.
