He was predeceased by : his parents, Johannes VanWiechen and Johanna VanWiechen; and his siblings, Piet, Marie, Lena, Anna, Truus, Joke, Tonia, Martin, Harrie, Koos and Gerard.

He is survived by : his wife Johanna Bongers VanWiechen (Annie); his children, Johan (Yogi), Nancy, Mario, Joy, Andrew, Carol, Jamie, Tanya, Albert, Darlene, Linda, Brian Craig, Eric Andrea (Olivia), Simon, Brynn, Marissa (Parker), Trevor, Alanna, Cole, Luke, Willis (Rosie), Max, Ethan, Thomas, Nolan, Over Opa and Adler Herman; and his sister-in-law Lisa VanWiechen.
