He was predeceased by : his wife Georgina Ferguson (Cairns); his parents, Victor Ferguson and Annie Ferguson (Callbeck); his sons, Dean and Don; his brother Elliot; and his siblings-in-law, Winnifred McDowell, Helen Ann Cairns, Helen Millar, Louise McConaghy, Peter Borys and Vernon Millar.

He is survived by : his children, Kent (Laurie), Garth (Jennifer), David (Carol Ann) and Karen Ann (Robert); and his pet Chloe.
