She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Thibodeau and Elizabeth Thibodeau; her son Billy; her grandchildren, Brandon, Corey Matthews and Shay Lynn Ellsworth; and her siblings, Betty DesRoches (late Clifford), Emily Arsenault (late Ivan), Alvina Gallant (late Paul), Reggie Thibodeau and Herbie Thibodeau.
She is survived by: her family Bernetta Mary Ellsworth of St. Louis, PEI; her children, Kenny (Heather) of Bloomfield, Laura Lee Matthews (Wayne) of Montrose and Rodney (Inga) of Alberton; her grandchildren, Jamie, Jennifer, Lyndsay, Shanae, Logan and Amber; her great grandchildren, Ledger, Casey, Grace, Everly, Kyrie, Mason, Bailey and Jaylynn; her siblings, Shirley Gaudet of Summerside, Rosie Wedge of Summerside, Gerarda Gaudet of Summerside, Dally (Dorothy) of Summerside and Gilbert of Summerside; and her brothers-in-law, Wayne Ellsworth, Morgan Ellsworth and Bradford Ellsworth.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel (419 Main St, Alberton, PE C0B1B0). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church.
