It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Theresa MacPhee (Souris, Prince Edward Island), who passed away on December 30, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Kenneth; her children, Louis (Darlene), Donald (Sandra), Joan Lambie (Kenny) and Jackie Tanner (Mike); her parents, Alan MacKenzie and Margaret MacKenzie; her siblings, Josie (Betty), Norman (Mary), Louis, Christelle and Mary (Gus); and her sister-in-law Mae (Albert).

She is survived by : her grandchildren, Lauchlin, Jodi (Brent), Megan (Colin), Daniel, Rebeccah and Grace; and her sister-in-law Eileen MacKenzie. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

“Thank you, Louis, for your call. Your Mom was an instant friend when Susie, "our" dog, and I first met her. We called her our Nanny MacPhee, and Susie loved every minute spent with Bertha and her family and friends. So did I. She'll be missed by many, us among them. I'm glad she invited us into her already full life.”
