He is survived by : his wife Barb; and his pets, Snowball, Casey, Dr. Malone, Allison and Daniel "Danny" John Callahan of Selkirk, PE.. He is also survived by cousins and special longtime friends.

“Daniel John Callahan or "Danny from Ottawa" as we knew him was one of the nicest and kindest people I have ever met. Danny was my first cousin and all through the years growing up he and his parents Uncle Bill and Aunt Eileen would travel to Detroit to see our family. He was so smart and so funny. He and my brother Danny were very good friends and he never minded me tagging along when they hung out. I will always remember our shared love of animals. Rest in Heaven Danny. I will miss you.”
