He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry "Chubby" MacNeil and Lillian MacNeil (Jarvis); his former wives, Ethel Leeco and Janet Fraser; and his siblings, Joan, Ruth, Betty, Dale and Leonard.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Reid; his children, John (Sharon) and Ann; his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Zachery, Edmund and Denver; his great grandchild Raya; his siblings, Joseph, Arthur (Leona) and Lorraine; and his brothers-in-law, Claude Savoie and George Blikslager.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dingwell Funeral Home (3 Washington St, Souris, PE C0A2B0).
If so desired, donations in memory of Gerald can be made to the St. Columba Cemetery Fund or the Souris and Area Branch of the PEI Wildlife Federation.
