He was predeceased by : his parents, Leo (Cecilia McCarville) and Souris; his wife Gail; his sisters, Naomi McInnis, Anna Toole and Janet Couture; and his grandson Matthew.

He is survived by : his children, Gary, Pat (Angela) and Joe (Linda); his siblings, Gerald (Lucienne), Olive Hughes, Freda, Michael (Betty) and John; and his goddaughters, Kelli Dingwell and Heidi Baglole.
