With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nelson Read of Stratford, Prince Edward Island, born in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, who passed away on July 23, 2020. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nelson Read to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Bishop Read and Vera Read (Carruthers); his stepmother Ada Jane Stevenson; and his siblings, Dr. Dean Carruthers Read and Emma Jane Ingham (David).

He is survived by : his brother Balfour Read (Shirley); his sister-in-law Marjorie Read; and his close friend Darlene Larter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of choice would be appreciated. Service Location Private Family Graveside Committal Service at Peoples Cemetery, Summerside Burial Location Interment in Peoples Cemetery, SummersideRequested Charity.
