We are sad to announce that on January 13, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Alexander Read of Summerside, Prince Edward Island. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Bishop Read and Vera Read (Carruthers); his stepmother Ada Jane Stevenson; his wife Shirley Read; and his siblings, Emma Jane Ingham (David), Deane and Verne Read.

He is survived by : his children, Paul (Gayle), Vera Reno (Jerry) and Steven (Laura). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and by 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Jim Read wrote a sympathy message

“Paul Vera and Steven. We very much share in your sadness 😔 now over our Uncle Balfour passing. Surely, we are comforted that he is togther with Aunt Shirley. Your cousins Jim, Carolyn and Donna and Aunt Marjorie have made a donation to Prince County Hospital. To us, this is something Uncle Balfour would appreciate.❤”
