With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Walter J. Simmons of Summerside, Prince Edward Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 18, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Simmons and Daisy Simmons (Morell); his spouse Georgie (Profitt); his grandchildren, Molly Simmons and Rodi Clark; his siblings, Edythe Woodside, Betty Simmons (late Gordon) and Clifford Simmons; and his siblings-in-law, Wendell Profitt (Dorothy), Rowan Profitt (Muriel) and Claudette Simmons.
He is survived by: his children, Marcia Clark (Bud), David Simmons (Sandy) and Donna Gallant (late Paul); his grandchildren, Robin Clark (Laurie), Samantha Simmons, Lyndsey Gallant, Lee Gallant (Abby) and Erik Jilson (Wendy); his great grandchildren, Brae Clark, Bronson Clark, Brielle Clark, Tristan Jilson, Ayden Jilson and Devan Jilson; and his brother Dr. Don Simmons. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
