It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marilyn Marie Barrett of West Royalty, Prince Edward Island, who passed away on August 30, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brother Brian McDonald (Audrey); her husband Jack Barrett; her parents, Earl McDonald and Irene McDonald (Gaudet); her parents-in-law, Reagh and Christine Barrett (MacLeod); and her siblings-in-law, Betty Tremere, Trudy Barrett, Ralph Cruwys and Lawson Tremere.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin (Kathy Kaufield), Pam, Kent, Sharon and Jeff (Becky); her grandchildren, Tyler (Jackie), Nathan (Morgan), Brandon, Jaime, Cody, John, Sam, Avery, Alex, Jocelyne and Taylor; her great grandchildren, Cole, Miles and Violet; her siblings, Dianne Carragher (Wilf), Al McDonald (Pam), Lorne McDonald (Noella), Danny McDonald (Paula) and Darlene Doucette (Bobby); and her sister-in-law Thelma Cruwys.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hennessy Funeral Home (33 Longworth Ave, Charlottetown, PE C1A 5A3). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer (3 Pond St, Charlottetown, PE C1A2N9).
