He was predeceased by : his parents, James Sr. Stewart and Florence Stewart; and his brothers, Leness (Bobby), Melvin, Denzil and Weston.

He is survived by : his siblings, James Jr., Joyce and Diane. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
