He was predeceased by: his wife Anne; his parents, Jacob Dirk and Hillina Eerdmans of Bolsward; and his siblings, Jaap (Agnes) and Reinder (Mieke).
He is survived by: his children, Derek, Helena (Michael) and Paula (Patrick); his grandchildren, Joshua (Megan), Andrew (Elise), James (Heather), Anna, Connor and Casey; his great grandchild Theodore; and his siblings, Douwe (Netty), Ada (Rike), Jessie, Martha (Ed), Ben (Dicky), Jantien (Ans) and Gerda (Willemien).
