Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Robert James Scales; and her siblings, Norah Elizabeth (Ted Jones), Earl Andrew (Bearice Howell) and Emily Carter (Donald Tostevin).
