He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Cotnam and Eva Cotnam (Rabishaw); his wife Patricia Cotnam (Young); and his sister Doreen. He is survived by: his children, Wendy, Tammy (Siavash) and Terry; his grandchildren, Megan (Logan), Michael (Anna), Christopher (Chelsea), Nicolas (Nicole), Cameron (Paxton), Raven and Skylar; his great grandchildren, Jordan, Colton and Carter; and his siblings, Robert (Veronica) and Donna.

A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Luke's Catholic Church. A burial was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rideau Memorial Gardens.
