John’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.

He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda Steele; and his siblings, William Steele and Elizabeth Wilson. He is survived by: his children, Shona and Gavin (Laura); his grandchildren, Amber and Dylan Steele; his nephew John Wilson (Connie); and his niece Linda Rennie (Gordon).

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hillside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, any donations in John name can be made to Rennie's United Church or the Barrie Memorial Hospital.
