He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Janet Paul Grant; his close friend Leah McGibbon Brooks; his sister Arline (Gene) of Idaho, USA.; his children, Douglas (Joy), Wilene (Alan), Wendy (Tom) and Donna (Jon); and his parents, Donald Elder and Bouchette Street of Huntingdon, QC. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews, and a vast community of friends.
