She was predeceased by: her husband Leo Ykema; and her siblings, Hazel (late Robert Cottingham), Hartley (late Mary Purnell), Margaret (late Georges McIntyre), Marion, William (late Marguerite Elliot) and John (late Rose Legros).
She is survived by: her sons, Jan (Deborah Kozaback), Oene (Trudy Soesbergen), Wellington (Annette Leblanc), Leo (Vickey Paul), Hartley (Janice Brownlee) and Robert; and her siblings, Robert (Frances Elliot) and Eloise (late Donald MacFarlane). She is also survived by her eighteen grandchildren, her fourteen great grandchildren.
