He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Matte and Laurette Léger; his spouse Jean McCallum; his parents-in-law, Murray McCallum and Gladys Hummell; his brother Marcel (late Réjean); and his siblings-in-law, Bucky (Sue) and Fay (late Brian).
He is survived by: his children, Joanne, Carol (Stanley) and Steven; his grandchildren, Rebecca-Lee (Nicholas), Crissy, Shayne (Marianne) and Holden; his sisters, Madeleine (late Claude), Lucille (Andre), Claudette and Lise (late Marcel); and his siblings-in-law, Wanda (Bob), Franny (Frank), Arthur (Donna), Ruth (Brian), Earl and Betty (Kenny). He is also survived by his many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
