She is survived by: her spouse Haruo Kawai; her daughters, Sandra, Diane (Doug Roy) and Nancy (Dan Holt); her grandchildren, Cameron (Jane) and Lauren; her great grandchild Hannah; her sisters, Harriet (Jake Enns) and Marg (Sid Tjepkema); and her siblings-in-law, Aki, Betty and Joanne. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
