He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Gruber and Mary Dameral. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Alice (Mark John) and Kieran (Lucia); his granddaughter Camila; and his siblings, Pauline (late John), Andy (Pat) and Tess (Ian). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM.
