He was predeceased by : his wife Frances Cowan; his siblings, Solly (Sadie Eisenberg) and Faye Eisenberg; and his sister-in-law Arlene Stein. He is survived by : his daughters, Sandi (Howard Smolar) and Marlene (Barry Barth); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Mike Sheffren, Jason, Jen Smolar, Justin Smolar (Stephanie Oliverio), Stacey, AJ Maislin, David and Rachel Barth; and his great grandchildren, Paige, Olivia Sheffren, Sadie, Lucy Smolar, Hailey, Cassie Maislin, Mason and Emma Barth.
