He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Richer and Beverly Abelson Caplan; his sibling Shelly; and his uncles, Michael Abelson and Donald Richer.
He is survived by: his stepfather Sam Caplan; his siblings, Daisy, Ilana (Mike) and Michelle (Alex); his stepsiblings, Barry and Marla; his siblings' children, Lily and Ben; his aunt Vicki; and his cousins, Scott, Nicole, David, Aimée, Renee and Rick.
