She was predeceased by: her spouse Mel Kastner; her siblings-in-law, Chuck, Bonnie Kastner, Babe, Enid Kastner, Vera and Morris Klein; and her parents, Saul Wertheimer and Yetta Wertheimer.
She is survived by: her children, Howie Kastner (Stacey Elefant), Andy Kastner (Ali Greenberg), Mitch Kastner and Jay Kastner (Maria Cunningham); her grandchildren, Amanda Kastner, Ben Francoz, Alyssa Kastner, Alexa, Ashley, Blake Kastner, Lauren Kastner, Phil Kempster, Jake, Samantha Kastner, Josh of Ally, JJ and Roman Kastner; her great grandchild Xander Kempster; and her sisters, Myrna (Alan Bramson) and Shelley (Norman Gottlieb).
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Paperman & Sons (3888 Rue Jean-Talon O, Montréal, QC H3R2G8). For information about Shiva, please contact the family.
