She was predeceased by: her husband Irving Avrich; her parents, Sadie Garellek and Louis Garellek; and her siblings, Yetta Garellek, Jack (Rose Garellek), Manny Garellek and Sam (Frances Garellek).
She is survived by: her niece Shelley Garellek Mann. She is also survived by her children, adored, and admired by her grandchildren, and by many nieces, nephews.
