It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Filomena (Gesualdi) Montecalvo (Montréal, Québec), who passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Filomena may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her son Vito Gesualdi. She is survived by: her husband Michele Gesualdi; her daughter-in-law Lucia; her grandchildren, Michele (Domenica) and Maria (Stephane); and her great grandchildren, Alessia and Sofia. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex (10300 Bd Pie-IX, Montréal-Nord, QC H1H3Z1). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pompei Church (2875 Rue Sauvé E, Montréal, QC H2B1C6).
