He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley Dunn; his brother David; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Povitz, David and Hazel Dunn.
He is survived by: his children, Earl (Elaine Povitz) and Cary Povitz (Joy Biskin); his grandchildren, Shaun, Kurt Sarno, Richard Povitz, Lauren Povitz, Robbie Praw, Lana Povitz, Dima Ayoub, James Povitz and Olivia Cohen; and his great grandchildren, Noah, Adam Sarno, Hayden, Rowan and Lennon Freddie Praw. He is also survived by his nieces, nephew, friends.
