He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Anchel and Anne Anchel. He is survived by: his son David; his wife Gillian; his daughters, Tasha (Tzen) and Tara (Mark); his grandchildren, Leo, Ana, Eli, Sam and Jake; his sister Rhoda (Morty); his nephews, Michael (Lisa) and Jeffery (Martina); and his family, Dr. Almakadi, Dr. Trus, Dr. Berg, Dr. Lepic, Wendy Bursey and Alix Lapworth. He is also survived by friends and extended family.
