She was predeceased by: her husband John Dawson; her brothers, John and Fraser Adams; her siblings-in-law, Arthur Dawson, Hélène Adams and Helen Dawson; and her nieces, Hillary and Katherine.

She is survived by: her children, Andrew, Lynne (Christian), Barbara (Morgan) and Michael (Livia); her grandchildren, George, Katie, Sandi (Joey), Emilia, Audrey and John; her brothers, Leyland and Richard Adams (Susan); and her siblings-in-law, Douglas Dawson (Heather) and Kathleen Adams.
