She was predeceased by: her father Emil Popescu. She is survived by: her mother Adriana Popescu; her uncle Rodica Lange (George Rucăreanu); and her cousins, Andrea Weiss, Ramona Rucăreanu and Monica Goldblatt. She is also survived by family members, including her maternal aunt.
We will also circulate details of how donations in Monica's memory can be made to Maison San Raphaël in Montreal or a scholarship fund to be established in her name.
