He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Laura Berman; his sons, Stephen Schertzer (Ruth Wingerin) and Robert Schertzer (Laura Rosenthal); his siblings, Joei Carlton (Paul Hossack), Mona (Marv Mesirow) and Harry (Sandra Albert); and his siblings-in-law, Martin, Pearl Berman, Doris and Danny Fink. He was also cherished by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
