He was predeceased by: his grandchild Frédérick. He is survived by: his children, François (Tina Malta), Bernard (Lynne Racicot), Sylvie (Yves Masson) and Dominique (Jacques Robert); his siblings-in-law, Réjeanne (late Claude Gérin-Lajoie), Henri Maquet (late Hélène Gérin-Lajoie) and Louise; his grandchildren, Nicolas, Renée-Maud, Alexis, Thomas, Julien, Alexandra, Maxime, Caroline, Olivier, Hugo, Julie, Véronique and Martin; and his spouse Andrée Papineau. He is also survived by his 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

This dictation project is undoubtedly the Fondation Paul Gérin-Lajoie's most widely recognized activity in support of its mission, which is to promote the basic education of children, as well as literacy and vocational training among young people and women in developing countries.
