She is survived by: her husband Yves Saint-Jean; her stepson Frédéric (Manu); her siblings, Domenico (Gina), Mario (Jocelyne), Donata (Filippo) and Tony (late Sara); her siblings-in-law, Francine and Robert; her siblings' children, Michele (Grace), Nicola (Elizabeth), Tania (Duane), Melissa, David (Stephania), Jessica, Vanessa (Anthony), Nadia and Isabelle; and her nephew-in-law Marc-André.

“Dear family My sincere condolences. We've appreciated Rita when she was temporarily based in Brussels as a highly motivated professional who really understood trade finance in-depth. Although I worked for another bank in Belgium we had many professional discussions and meetings but we could always reach a consensus. When Rita was convinced of her point of view she defended it straight forward with good arguments. She left our trade finance community and her family much too early. Emile Rummens”
