He was predeceased by: his grandson Jeremy; and his wife Leila Azoulay. He is survived by: his children, Dan Acre, Dr. Amira Acre and Dr. Yael Acre (Chris Hosein); and his grandchildren, Samantha, Nicholas, Ondine, Arielle, Stefan, Joshua, Russell and Aliza.

“We have lost a great friend- a man of honour, integrity and class. Knowing Mr. Acre was loving him- he had that kind of an effect on people. A Gentleman in every sense of the word. My family, staff and I shall miss his gentle smile and awesome stories. Personally, I will miss our 2 hour lunches where we would talk about the world. The Angels now have another member.
