It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sybil Viola Mason (Montréal, Québec), who passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Sydney Clarence Baker; her parents, Francis Hazzard Mason and David Mason; and her children, Louella Peterson, Welton Baker and Dennis Baker.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Archer, Alwin Baker, Jeanette Baker, Ruth Baker, Sheila Baker, Roxanne Haynes and Paul Baker; and her close friend Rehobath Church of God. She is also survived by her thirty-nine grandchildren and sixty-eight great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home (5610 Rue Sherbrooke O, Montréal, QC H4A1W5). A wake will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Unia (2741 R. Notre Dame O, Montréal, QC H3J1N9). Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Résidences Funéraires Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Homes (5610 Rue Sherbrooke O, Montréal, QC H4A1W5). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 2:15 PM.
