Peter Grogono Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter Grogono (Outremont, Québec), who passed away on February 16, 2021 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by : his wife Sharon H. Nelson; his siblings, Roger (Pam) and Katharine (Tony); and his close friend Kathryn Stephens.

Due to COVID restrictions, the funeral will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montreal General Hospital Foundation at codelife.ca.

“I was terribly saddened to learn today from one of my friends that Peter (Dr. Grogono to us) had passed away three years ago. The last email that he sent to me was on July 7, 2020. My friend (and several other friends) and I were Dr. Grogono's students in Computer Science at Concordia University in the early 1990s. I had taken three of his courses and he supervised a project that I completed before I graduated in 1995. We really appreciated his wonderful teaching style.”
