He was predeceased by : his wife Evelyn Knopp; his son Michael (Audrey); his parents, Jacob Stober and Sarah Stober (Rosenblum); and his brother Dr. Gerald Stober (Ruth).

He is survived by : his children, Margie, Richard and Gerry; his grandchildren, David (Nicole), Marty, Ariella (Jonny), Adam (Jamie), Danny and Jason; his great grandchildren, Jordan, Evan, Kyle and Greg; his brothers, Julius Stober (Rhoda) and David Stober (Eleanor); and his siblings-in-law, Edna Bock, Eddie Bock, Mavis, Joe Gasco, Mitchell, Edith Knopp, Sidney and Mattie Knopp.
