She was predeceased by: her parents, Lindsay Horner and Muriel Brownlee; her husband Dalton Smith; her sons, Todd (Jennifer St-Aubin) and James; her grandchildren, Brandon and Breanna; and her extended family, Ruth Robertson (Larry), Richard Sparling (Claire), Barb Sparling and Stephen Sparling (Debbie).
She is survived by: her siblings, Faye (Red McTiernan), Joan (late Donald Woermke), Marion (late John Musgrove), Beryl (late Allan Bruce), Betty (William Devlin) and Jim Horner (Cathy); her sisters-in-law, Jean (late Charles Smith), Gisele (late Sherman Smith), Ethel (late Mervin Yach) and Lilda (Wilfred Schwartz); Minerva Sparling, Cora (Carl Sparling) and Harvey (Fern Smith). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
