He was predeceased by : his wife Irma Ruthardt; his parents, Karl Ruthardt and Hedwig Ruthardt; and his brother Manfred Ruthardt. He is survived by : his children, Claus Ruthardt (Sheila) and Christina De Winter; his grandchildren, Nicole Ruthardt, Nicholas Ruthardt, Daniella De Winter and Alexander De Winter; and his sister Rosa Posul.
