He is survived by: his wife Rose Ewanishin; his daughters, Wendy Matthews and Rhonda Bouthillette; his son-in-law Brent Bouthillette; his grandchildren, Owen Bouthillette, Heidi Bouthillette and Adam Bouthillette; and his siblings, Roman Ewanishin (Sheila), Antonia Siermachesky (Mike) and Tony Ewanishin (Sandra). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Mike to the Lung Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
