He was predeceased by: his wife Gladyse (Crabb); his granddaughter Megan Skalicky; his parents, Isobel Boak and Aaron Boak; his siblings, George Boak and Mearl Koob; and his siblings-in-law, Louis Koob, Ernest Crabb, Carol Crabb and Terry Assmus.

He is survived by: his children, Gail Boak of Moose Jaw, Lorraine McLaren (Rick) of Assiniboia, Brian Boak of Edmonton and Darlene Skalicky (Kevin) of Assiniboia; his grandchildren, Michael Skalicky (Celina), Ryan McLaren (Melissa), Kristen Karst (Al) and Lindsey McLaren (Curtis Bellegarde); his great grandchildren, Lucas, Isla Skalicky, Emerson and Everett McLaren; his siblings-in-law, Alice Boak and Herb Crabb Neil Assmus (Sylvia); and his grandchild Pallbearers. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
