We announce the death of Gene Douglas Knudsen (Assiniboia, Saskatchewan), who passed away on September 17, 2026, at the age of 94. Gene will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Gene will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Gene’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Knudsen and Fanivy Knudsen; and his siblings, Emmett McMillan (Lucille), Betty Zentner (Chris) and Faye Iannone (Nick).

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Knudsen (Gibson); his children, Shannon Claypool (Perry), Michael and Mark; and his grandchildren, Kelsey and Dawson.
