He was predeceased by : his wife Evelyn Doreen; his parents, John and Annie; and his siblings, Mary Lasek (Jim), Walter (Ruby), Lena Clark (William), Louis (Jean), John (Dorothy), Annie (Joe), Stan (Clara), Frank (Gladys) and Joe.

He is survived by : his children, Dianne Beutler (Donald), Donna Brill (Neil Penner) and Bruce Szafron; and his sister-in-law Joan Szafron. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Donations in memory of George may be made to the Rockglen Health Care Auxiliary Memorial Fund for the Grasslands Health Centre, PO Box 338, Rockglen, SK S0H 3R0.
