He was predeceased by : his parents, Art Walters and Julie Walters; and his siblings, Don (Madeline), Roger Walters, Garry (Jean), Louise Lachowitzer (Ralph), Robert (Dianne), Elaine Johnson and Carole Collinson (Bob).

He is survived by : his wife Lucille (Dumelie); his son Brian; his grandchildren, Kayla, Devin and Keira; his daughter Connie McMorris (Doyle); his grandchildren, Samantha, Mitch Taylor, Spencer, Lowen, Sydney, Kyle Harden, Elly, Theia, Reese, Trehvan McMorris and Rhyker McMorris; and his sister-in-law Shirley Walters. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory of Jerry may be made to the South Country Health Care Foundation for the Emergency Room at the Assiniboia Union Hospital.
