He was predeceased by: his wife Helen (Rosenzweig); his parents, James Dickson and Esther Dickson; his sister Kathryn Heggs (Clarence); his son-in-law Murray Meston; and his pet Abby.

He is survived by: his daughters, Carol Lee (John), Colleen Miller (Barry) and Donna Rissling (Gary); his grandchildren, Stacey Meston, Nolan Meston (Sheri), Chad Miller (Shaunna) and Shawn Miller (Andrea); his great grandchildren, Austen (Brooke) and Kaeden Meston; his grandchildren, Daylin, Lane Meston, Jordan (Bobbi), Nate, Charleigh, Sydney Miller, Blayke and Rylan Miller; his great great grandchildren, Ayda and Creed Meston; and his sister Esther Wedin (Con). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
